SMC Teen tells school officials stranger tried to abduct her

Through a press release, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announced that an 18-year-old high school student in South Montgomery County reported to school officials on Wednesday that a black male attempted to abduct her after school on Tuesday.

The teen said she was getting off of her school bus at Grogan’s Mill and South Millbend around 3 p.m. when she noticed the man parked nearby in an SUV. She stated the man told her to get into his car, but she refused and ran to a nearby grocery store and he drove away.

The girl told authorities that she has seen the man and vehicle in the same area in the past. The girl described the driver as a black male in his thirties, bald, 5’8”, and 200 pounds and wearing a stripped shirt.

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office working cooperatively with the Conroe Independent School District Police Department has initiated an investigation and anyone with information should call the MCSO Detective Division at 936-760-5876.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1000 cash reward for information leading to an arrest or indictment of a felony crime. Call 800-392-STOP (7867). Anonymous tips can also be made through the Montgomery County Crime Stoppers Web Page at www.montgomerycountycrimestoppers.org.
