The U.S. forest Service is involved in a prescribed burn in the Walker/Montgomery County area. This fire is being maintained by them and is controlled. With the north winds smoke is making it down as far as Houston.
The only wildfire at this time is in San Jacinto County. At 2p.m. Texas Forest Service was dispatched to a fire near Highway 150 between FM2025 and FM945.They arrived very quickly. The fire at the time was a land owner burning off his land and the fire was allowed to burn.
As they were enroute back to their Conroe base the San Jacinto County Sheriff’s Office called them back to the scene as the fire had gotten out of control.
