SOUTH COUNTY BE READY TO CAMP IN YOUR SUBDIVISION THIS WEEKEND

Yesterday, Zachry-Odebrecht Parkway Builders (ZOPB) met with Commissioner Noack’s Office, TxDOT, and the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office and Montgomery County Engineers Office to discuss Grand Parkway construction activities in the Riley Fuzzel area. ZOPB provided construction updates regarding completed and remaining work items, and walked the group through the remaining phases of construction. The next traffic switch that will alter travel routes along Riley Fuzzel is scheduled to take place in early September. ZOPB will disseminate a map and details of the traffic switch within the next few days. The primary changes are centered around the Discovery Creek and Rayford Road intersections, and this should provide some relief of the congestion you all have been experiencing over the past few weeks. With safety being the number one priority, we will have law enforcement, provided by Off Duty Services, at the Spring Trails, Discovery Creek, Birnham Woods, and Rayford Road intersections during peak hours (6:30 am to 10:30 am, 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm) to monitor and direct traffic as necessary during the first week of the new school year. ZOPB assures that there will be an improvement with their methods of communication, beginning with our coordination with the Commissioner’s Office and area Homeowner’s Associations. We will continue to meet bi-weekly with Commissioner Noack, TxDOT, and the Constable’s Office to maintain an open channel of communication and see that your concerns are being addressed.
