Splendora Police Say He Lied About his Name

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- While patrolling the area of Business Hwy 59 and FM 2090, a Splendora Police Officer noticed a vehicle with no License plate being driven on a Splendora road. The Officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and attempted to identify the driver. While speaking with the driver, the Officer found he was unable to provide any identification matching the name he provided. Officers then used the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) and learned the driver had provided a false name. Shortly thereafter, Officers learned the driver had three open warrants. They placed the driver under arrest for Fail to Identify Fugitive from Justice and the active warrants. He was transported and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on the warrants.

Tomas Antonio Rodriguez, 27, of New Caney is charged with third-degree felony Attack by Dog Resulting in Serious Bodily Injury; class C misdemeanor Open Container in a Motor Vehicle; class C misdemeanor Fail to Maintain Financial Responsibility (no insurance).
