SPRING BREAK TRAFFIC HAS I-45 NORTH AT A STAND STILL

With construction going on I-45 near FM 1375 the northbound lanes hastraffic at a standstill. All lanes are open but with Spring Break there is not enough pavement for so many vehicles. Also according to Montgomery County Fire Marshal Jimmy Williams who is in New Waverly US 75 is even worse and said it will take you longeron 75 then it will on I-45. Transtar is calling I-45 360% slower than normal. Motorists are currently driving the wrong way on the freeway at Shepherd Hill to try to use the exit. DPS and MCSO are sending units to cite those persons who are causing a dangerous situation. According to Transtar at FM 1097 speeds drop from 72 to 8-10 mph.
