Spring ISD Police Department announced the retirement of K-9 Brix an Explosive Dog with the department for 4 years. Brix is a Dutch Shepard trained in the detection of explosives and was a great asset to the Harris County K9 explosive detection team.
Brix suffered an ACL tear last year and underwent surgery to repair it. Serval weeks after surgery Brix snapped his metal plate and was forced into early retirement.
Brix will never be a dog you could cuddle with but will enjoy playing ball with his handler Corporal Flannelly in Montgomery Texas.
Brix was donated to Spring ISD Police Department through K9s4cops. A non-profit organization that helps protect our communities by donating police canines to Police Agencies.
