Last Thursday 29-year-old Christopher Christoferson who last resided in the Spring area and who had moved to Perry was involved in the beating of an elderly woman.
Perry, Oklahoma Police are searching for Christoferson who early Thursday morning beat 71-year-old Betty Hewitt. Hewitt, who had been helping him paid him $20 to do some yard work. He then returned and broke the right side of her face before stealing her car.
Later that day Oklahoma City Police spotted a vehicle on Interstate 35 which was clocked at 105 mph. A pursuit started and Christoferson finally crashed. Before he could be taken into custody he fled the scene.
Oklahoma City Police tracked the vehicle back to Perry which is approximately 60 miles north of Oklahoma City. That is when they discovered Betty Hewitt.
Investigators are not sure if Christoferson is still on Oklahoma or has come back down to Texas.
Christoferson has a laundry list of crimes. He was sentenced in the 221st District Court here in Montgomery County to 3 years for an unauthorized use of a motor vehicle charge which he committed on January 14, 2010.
On May 26, 2010 he was given the 3 years which ran concurrent with other charges.
He arrived at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on January 11, 2013. He was then releases on January 13, 2013 the date TDCJ calculated as his mandatory discharge date.
He is described as a white male, 5’-9’ tall and weighs approximately 230 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
