STAGE COACH OFFICER SHOOTS AND KILLS HARRIS COUNTY DEPUTY

Just after 5 pm Friday a City of Stage Coach Sgt. called the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch on the radio and stated that he had shot a burglar in his home in the Cityof Stage Coach. Units immediately responded to a location given on Stage Coach Drive. When they arrived the officer was nowhere to be found. After several more communications, the officer relayed that he was at his other home on Singletree Drive. Units arrived at that location and found a male in the bathroom deceased with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS was called for the Stage Coach Officer for high blood pressure. As the investigation continued it was determined the dead what was said to be burglar was, in fact, the Stage Coach Officers brother who is also a Harris County Sheriff’s Deputy. Officials are now attempting to sort the situation out and say there was no burglary. Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez arrived on the scene a short time ago along with a few Harris County Homicide Detectives. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office who is the lead on the investigation is being assisted by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Rangers. They say the scene is very active and could last the rest of the night. Montgomery County Justice of the Peace Wayne Mack arrived on the scene for the inquest along with a member of the Montgomery County Forensic Center.
