LIBERTY COUNTY — Klynt Alan Robertson, age 24, today entered a plea of “guilty” to a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon in Judge Mark Morefield’s 75th District Court, Liberty County. Robertson was sentenced to 15 years on this second degree felony conviction.
This charge was a result of an alleged attempted car-jacking in the City of Ames, Texas area on September 26th but later was found to be a drug related situation by lead Investigator Sgt. Billy Knox of the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department. The victim in this offense was struck in the head with an axe handle resulting in a very serious head wound.
I wish Texas would bring “CAINING” into the choices of punishment. Let him get a few good skin splitting lashes to the back side maybe then he, or anyone else for that matter, would think twice before robbing another human being.
Fifteen years is a joke. He’ll be out in no time at all ready to victimize others.
