On Tuesday, June 24th, 2014 the Cleveland Police Department was called to Wal-Mart (831 S. Hwy 59) in regards to the theft of riding lawn mowers.
Investigation found that two red “Snapper” riding lawn mowers were stolen from the garden area of Wal-Mart at approximately 4:41pm. Two silver Chevy Silverado Trucks were observed parked near the garden area. Three black males where later seen loading two red “Snapper” riding lawn mowers into the Chevy Silverado Trucks.
Both trucks did not display license plates; one of the trucks had a black front end bra.
Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to contact the Cleveland Police Department at 281-592-2622 or the CPD Tip Line 281-592-0800.
My hunch here is they’re not going to actually USE them in some entrepreneurial endeavour (shows class and good breeding when I use the British spelling version) but will flip for cash.
Note to corporate Walmart dummies:
There some idiotic reason you’re not hiring off-duty officers to linger as theft deterrent? Has to be less costly (from all these theft stories) than letting 2% of your merchandise disappear or drive off due to ‘shrinkage’. That pudgy woman at the door with your “do not pursue” policy ain’t gonna cut it but 4 roaming badged pudgsters carrying Glocks with a “shoot to kill” policy would.
