CLose to midnight last night a MCSO Deputy attempted to stop a black 2002 Dodge pickup with paper tags on FM 3083 near Crater Hill. THe vehicle pulled over. As it did a female exited the vehicle on the passenger side and the vehicle sped off. A pursuit started and continued through the paved roads in the old Exxon Oil field area of Conroe and Grangerland. The male driver the got back onto Albert Moorhead and continued north on Jefferson Chemical to SH 105. On 105 with virtually no traffic in sight speeds reached close to 90 mph. When deputies got to Duck Creek the vehicle went south to Old 105 the east to Daw Collins. Continuing south on Daw Collins to FM 2090 to Fire Tower. THe vehicle slowed several times as if the driver was going to give up or jump and flee on foot. The driver turned east on Petty Walker, and after a short distance turned into the driveway of a vacant home. Crashing through the gate it continued to the back of the property where the male fled on foot. Several units converged on the area to search for him as Precinct 4 K-9 searched the heavy wooded area. The suspect was not found. A wrecker driver notified dispatch during the pursuit that he had located the female and would take her to a close by convenience store and await deputies.
