UPDATE!!! The stolen truck has been recovered! The suspect ditched it and ran from police into the woods around Homestead Road in Houston.

The owner is grateful to everyone who shared the link for their help in this process. Also, the truck owner’s daughter says it was his birthday.

Around 8:30 p.m. Thursday night, a reader was having dinner at the Crawfish Shack on FM 2100 in Crosby when someone stole his pickup.

The missing truck is dark blue, 2002 Dodge 3500 4X4 extended cab, with an EMT-I sticker in the lower corner of the rear window.

The license plate is 7xBM60

If seen, please contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office at 713-221-6000

  1. If more officers were matched with a K9 partner, ditch and run would be much less successful! How many times recently have we seen the perp get away from the police by bailing out? Many thanks to MCPR for providing a way for citizens to share information to facilitate apprehension. Glad the owner has his property back.

  2. Hmmm. Homestead rd. in Houston. Right smack dab in the middle of 5th Ward…an area known to have produced numerous thugs, interlopers and criminals. As I have posted before…these “Houston visitors” are coming up here to steal . rape, and kill and love to steal our vehicles to take back to Houston to commit crimes. This truck was most likely headed for a crime and chop shop. Can we set up roadblocks on the major roads and highways coming into this county and determine just how many of them are determined to prey on us…?
