STOLEN VEHICLE SUSPECT REMAINS ON THE RUN

Just after 9am Sunday Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call at an East Montgomery County Improvement site in the Industrial Park off Gene Campbell. They met with an EMID employee who stated that someone had called him and told him that a truck was stuck on the property and there was a utility trailer behind it which was owned by EMCID. The employee responded to the scene to discover a Ford F-350 stuck in a ditch on the property. The white male driver asked the employee to assist him on getting the truck out. The employee said he would get a tow strap to assist and would return shortly. That was time enough to call the Sheriff’s Office. When units arrived, they saw the male who was at the time shirtless and in blue shorts walking down Gene Campbell. When he saw deputies, he ducked into the woods. As several units attempted to locate the male another unit went to the location of the truck. After running registration, it was learned the truck was stolen over 2-months ago in Houston. The truck was recovered. They also documented the front gate of the property had been crashed through. Units continued the search for the suspect who was later seen in the area of Tree Monkey and FM 1485 when he tried to get a ride from a passerby. That person stated the man was wearing a blue shirt when he stepped out of the woods to ask for a ride. Units with Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constables and MCSO remain in the area looking for the suspect. If he is spotted you are asked to call the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
