On Friday, September 12, 2014, at approximately 8:00 PM, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a robbery call at the Stop N Go convenience store located in the 27100 block of East River Road, in New Caney, Texas.
A clerk advised that approximately one hour prior to calling, two males entered into the store and asked where the motor oil was located. Reportedly as one of the males proceeded toward the rear of the store, the other male proceeded around the counter toward the clerk, displayed a knife, and demanded the key to the automated teller machine, (ATM). The clerk reportedly advised them he did not have the key, at which time the male holding the knife struck the clerk on the back of the head with the butt of the knife. Reportedly the male holding the knife then demanded the clerk to open the cash register drawer, to which he complied. The actor then grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register drawer and took the clerk’s wallet. The two males then reportedly fled the store on foot.
Suspect information is vague. Reportedly one actor is a white male and the other actor is a black male. Investigators are actively investigating the case.
