Just before noon on Friday a male driving a Mustang was northbound on Veterans Memorial at Gears Road traveling at a high rate of speed. The Mustang veered into the southbound lanes and then pulled back into the northbound lanes again. As he approached West Greens, he again veered into the oncoming lane. It was then that he struck another vehicle in the intersection and put the Mustang into a roll. Both the male and his female passenger were ejected. The male was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The female was pronounced dead at the scene. As the Mustang rolled it struck several parked cars in a parking lot.
