GRIMES COUNTY, TX— The Grimes County Sheriff’s Office, Grimes County District Attorney’s Office, and the Texas Rangers with the assistance of the Montogomery County Crime Scene Unit, are investigating the fatal shooting of a man off Foxfire Drive in Plantersville. The shooting occurred just after 1 a.m. Sunday.
A “person of interest” was identified and is cooperating with law enforcement. Evidence has been collected, witnesses interviewed, and the investigation is ongoing. The deceased man was sent to the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy. There is believed to be no threat to the community at this time.
