Suspect Charged, Wanted in Shooting Incident

Charges have been filed against one of three suspects wanted in a robbery and shooting incident at 3103 FM 1960 East at Aldine Westfield, about 10:45 a.m. on October 22.

One suspect, Xavier Reynoldo Johnson (b/m, 34), is charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon in the 230th State District Court. He is not in custody.

An off-duty Houston police officer, K. Huey of the North Patrol Division, discharged a weapon at the suspect.  Senior Police Officer Huey was not injured. He was sworn in as an officer in July 1995.

HPD Robbery Division Senior Police Officer K. Nealy reported:

Two unknown black male suspects, armed with guns, entered the Popeye’s Fried Chicken restaurant  and demanded money from the business.  After obtaining money, the suspects walked outside toward a vehicle in the parking lot.  Their actions were observed by an off-duty HPD officer, who attempted to intervene and discharged a weapon at the suspects.  The suspects’ vehicle was recovered a short time later.  It had been burned.

Further investigation identified Xavier Johnson as one of the suspects in this case.  He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs about 160 pounds and has tattoos on his face, neck and arms.  It is possible he was shot in the arm during the incident.

The other wanted male suspect is described only as being 25 to 30 years old and just over 6 feet tall.  A third wanted suspect is described only as a black female.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Johnson or on the identities of the two other suspects is urged to contact the HPD Robbery Division at 713-308-0700 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
