On August 19, Courtavion Lamarque Scott allegedly assaulted two Cleveland Police Department officers on Mckellar Street in Cleveland and fled on foot. He successfully evaded arrest then, but Cleveland Police began to circulate suspect information.
On Friday, the Cleveland Police Department Communications Division received information that Courtavion Scott was in custody in Grimes County.
Courtavion Lamarque Scott, 22, of Bedias is held in Grimes County on the following felony warrants:
- Assault on a Peace Officer – second-degree felony x2, Cleveland PD
- Attempting to Take Weapon from Peace Officer – State Jail Felony, Cleveland PD
- Evading Arrest/ Detention (previous conviction) – State Jail Felony, Cleveland PD
- Resisting Arrest- Class A Misdemeanor, Cleveland PD
- Assault bodily injury Family Violence warrant – Class A Misdemeanor, hold from Hempstead PD
Cleveland Police Department’s Chief Broussard thanked all the law enforcement agencies “who helped to safely get the suspect in custody without any further injuries”.
