SUSPECT IN STOLEN VEHICLE RAMS PRECINCT 4 PATROL CAR

Montgomery County Precinct 4 Deputies assisted the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office  in pursuit of a stolen vehicle on I-69 early Sunday morning.  A Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office  K9 Deputy located the stolen vehicle and attempted to stop it. The vehicle began fleeing, reaching speeds of 120 mph. The vehicle exited Lauder Road in Harris County and continued westbound. The driver then jumped a median and went through a ditch. The driver then put the vehicle in reverse and slammed into the front driver’s side of the Precinct 4 Patrol unit.  At that point, the passenger jumped out of the vehicle and fled on foot. A Precinct 4 Deputy captured him. The driver then took off again.  He traveled a short distance and drove into a bayou where the driver fled on foot. As of now the driver is not in custody and has not been identified. The Deputy was not harmed and the stolen vehicle was recovered. The passenger was placed in custody and treated for injuries sustained while resisting arrest. The pursuit lasted almost 12 miles.
