Suspect Starts Pursuit, K-9 Tejas Briones Finishes it!

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Monday, a Deputy with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s office initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 16300 block of I-45. The driver refused to stop, leading deputies on a pursuit. The vehicle finally came to a stop in the 300 block of North Vista, and the suspect jumped out and ran. Deputies set a perimeter and with the assistance of DPS Air Support and Constable K-9 “Tejas Briones”, the suspect was safely apprehended and identified as Joseph Raines.

Further investigation revealed he was free on a S1,000 bond for Burglary of a Vehicle and a S100 bond for Evading… and he’s only 17!

“Joseph Raines was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Evading in a Motor Vehicle. His bond was set at S15,000 to of the 230th District Court,” Constable Mark Herman said.
