On Saturday, January 12, a Pct. 4 Deputy Constable attempted to stop a gray truck for expired registration near the intersection of Ford and Loop 494. The vehicle took off running the red light at that intersection and sped down Ford Rd weaving in and out of traffic. The truck crashed into the backyard of a residence at that corner. The suspect took out a light pole, a large section of fence, and the telephone box also at that intersection. The suspect male was taken into custody. He was identified as Shipp, James Raymond. Shipp shows to have 2 felony warrants for Unauthorized Use of Motor Vehicle (UUMV) and Unlawful Carry of Weapon by Felon (UCW). Additional charges are another UUMV, 2 counts of UCW by Felon, Evading in Vehicle. The truck was stolen out of HPD in 11/2018. Shipp was transported to Kingwood Hospital for possible broken ribs.
