SUSPECTS IDENTIFIED AFTER $15K SCAM AT WOODFOREST BANK 

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On September 25, 2025, deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the Woodforest Bank located inside the Walmart in the 26200 block of Northwest Freeway regarding a forgery in progress.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that a female suspect had deposited a forged check into her account in the amount of $15,148.

Through a detailed and extensive investigation, Deputy Newisar determined that three individuals were involved in the scheme. They were identified as Justin Emery, Kaitlyn Broussard, and Jaylon Waddy.

All three suspects have been charged with Forgery – Financial Instrument out of the 488th District Court. Their bonds have not yet been set.

“These types of crimes impact local businesses and our residents directly,” said Constable Mark Herman. “Our deputies and investigators remain committed to identifying and bringing to justice those who attempt to defraud members of our community.”
