On June 19, 2018 shortly after 10 AM the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for service in reference to Family Violence off of Pine Needle Place in The Woodlands. Initial reports indicated a person was being held against their will and was in danger. The Montgomery County SWAT Team and Crisis Negotiations Teams were activated and arrived at the scene. During the investigation it was determined that the victim was not at the home and not being held hostage, but there were allegations of a Family Violence incident the night prior. Around 2:20 PM the suspect in the Family Violence was observed leaving the home and was stopped by Deputies and placed in custody for Assault Family Violence shortly thereafter. The suspect was identified as 42 year old Luke David Bridges. A small child was recovered from one of the vehicles. Detectives spent most of the evening searching the home and could be seen removing several bags of evidence. Ryan Torres, a resident in the area watched was the scene unfolded. He said Bridges attempted to run but was quickly subdued by deputies and taken into custody after a brief struggle. He questioned why someone would live in a townhome there when they drove several high dollar vehicles which included a Jaguar, a Maserati, a Bentley, some high dollar motorcycle. One of the motorcycles was seized during the operation. He said he had just met the family a day earlier and had a sweet young child. Another neighbor said there were constant fights that could be heard all hours of the night.
