On May 1, 2025, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Conroe Police Department personnel who are members of the USMS Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force, alongside US Marshals, arrested fugitive Craig Dwayne Hooper II. 31-year-old Hooper, of 1717 N. Thompson Street in Conroe, was arrested for felony warrants in Montgomery County for Order of Arrest – Assault Family Violence. Hooper is currently confined in the Montgomery County Jail. Hooper was first arrested in January of 2024 after assaulting a family member. In June of 2024, he was sentenced to 3 years of deferred probation. But then in February of 2025 he was rearrested on a new charge. He again posted bond, and his probation was extended for an additional year. He was also to get a fit for a GPS monitor within 24 hours. But then on April 18th, when he reported to probation, he tested positive for alcohol. On April 24, Judge Michalk issued an order for his arrest.
