Just before 2:30 am an Oak Ridge North Officer was on routine patrol when he observed a 2022 Harley Davidson driving at excessive speed on Robinson Road just east of I-45. He activated his emergency lights at which time the motorcycle accelerated at a high rate of speed. The pursuit continued just north of Tamina Road when the driver went up over the curd and remained on the grassy median for over 100 yards. It was then he crashed into a tree cutting it off at the trunk. The motorcycle began to break apart. As the bike came to rest in vegetation the front fork and wheel continued almost 100 yards down the feeder. The driver was ejected. Officers immediately started CPR on the teen. Montgomery County Hospital District Paramedics arrived along with Woodlands Fire Department and continued life-saving measures. The male died at the scene. Witnesses who were at a convenience store on Robinson Road stated the motorcyclist passed them at a high rate of speed and almost crashed even before the patrol unit got behind him. The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office Vehicular Crimes Unit responded to the scene to assist DPS in the investigation. The feeder reopened at 5:30 am. The victim was transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
