At 9:45 pm Thursday Lake Conroe Fire Department responded to the Crown Oaks Subdivision in Montgomery for a reported UTV crash with victims trapped. Inits arrived on Crown Oaks Blvd. to find an Intimidator UTV on its side resting against an electrical transformer box. A 15-year-old female, who was just 3-weeks from her sixteenth birthday was trapped under the 2000 pound UTV. Firefighters were able to get the UTV off her to find her not responsive. They immediately began CPR. Medics arrived on the scene and at one minute to ten, they pronounced her deceased. DPS Troopers worked the crash. A preliminary investigation showed that four teenage females all between fifteen and seventeen years of age were traveling at a high rate of speed down Crown Oaks Blvd. As they came into the curve, the 15-year-old who was driving said the steering jerked to the right, This caused the UTV to flip, rolling onto its side and coming to rest against an electric transformer box. One of the other teens was treated by medics for minor injuries. It is believed at least one of the teens was wearing a seatbelt. Montgomery County Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace Matt Masden responded to the scene and ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the victim to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the investigation.
