Teens Charged in Armed Robbery

HARRIS COUNTY, TX- On Saturday, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an armed robbery in the 10900 block of FM 1960. Deputies took the victim’s statement saying while she was in the parking lot, she was approached by a black man in a tan SUV who displayed a gun and took her purse, which also contained her phone.

Law enforcement tracked her cellphone to an area near the 13900 block of Cypress North Houston Road, and Deputies conducted surveillance near that location. They spotted a vehicle matching the victim’s description of the suspect’s vehicle, and initiated a traffic stop. When Deputies checked the vehicle, they found it not only matched what the victim described, the SUV had also been reported as stolen from another victim.

Deputies immediately detained the two suspects in the stolen vehicle, 17-year-old Ethan Jackson and 18-year-old Andri Diaz. Deputies say further investigation revealed the suspects were in possession of a stolen handgun, along with the victim’s stolen items.

“They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail. Ethan Jackson was charged with Aggravated Robbery.  Andri Diaz was charged with Aggravated Robbery and Unauthorized Use of Motor vehicle. Their bond and court information have not been set at this time,” Constable Mark Herman said.
