LIBERTY COUNTY — On Sunday morning, Texas Equusearch joined in the search for 62-year-old Edwin Rogers who was reported missing on December 30 of last year. The search, also assisted by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office and the Tarkington Volunteer Fire Department, was concentrated in the area of Tarkington.
Early that day, volunteers found one area of interest just off Highway 321 in which there were several disturbed areas of ground, which led Texas Equusearch to send for their Ground Penetrating Radar unit to better search that area.
Several family members reside at Rogers’ home, and detectives with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office have also been talking with them.
Last Friday, his Jeep was found on Highway 321 with his cell phone still in it. Records indicate there have been no calls placed on this phone in some time.
We will update this story online as additional details become available.
