TEXIAN HERITAGE FESTIVAL ASSISTS THREE ORGANIZATIONS

The Texian Heritage Festival, presented by Spirit of Texas Bank, dedicated the inaugural event on October 19 to 3 local non-profit groups- with 60% of the proceeds benefitting Montgomery County Emergency Assistance (MCEA) and the remaining 40% split between Fernland Historical Society, and Montgomery Historical Society. The Texian Heritage Festival had over 3,000 participants that came to learn the history of the 1800’s with re-enactments, hands on demonstrations, vendors, cannons, and children’s games of yesteryear.

Other contributing sponsors include the Montgomery Economic Development Corporation, Consolidated Communications, Weisner Automotive, Synergy, and the Lake Conroe Rotary Club. October 18, 2014 will be the date for the upcoming TexIan Heritage Festival.Checks10
