THANKFUL FOR TRUTH THURSDAY

= By Wayne Mack

I recently conducted funeral services for two families who lost their loved ones, entirely too young , one young man was only 21 and the other a young lady that only was 17 years old. Entirely too young for any family to have to deal with this. One author says; “The best way to help people who are encountering huge problems is just to be present. There’s no quick fixes for the agony of losing a loved one or the shock of being diagnosed with a serious illness. Still, grieving people need to be able to talk to someone to voice their frustrations, to ask questions. They need to feel heard. A real friend will be a listening ear and present. For each of us, the situation life throws at us can produce any number of questions that will need to be direct to God – questions HE already knows are coming. HE intends to resolve every one. Perhaps not in our timing or in our manner we would desire, but he will resolve them and give us the peace that passes, all understanding that HIS peace that surpasses all human reasoning. He will do that. We just need to be present for those we love and care about and bring HIS presence with us, when we do that”. Pray and ask God to use you today to be a blessing to someone in a special way TODAY.

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your site. Oh Lord my rock and my redeemer.” Psalms 19:14 –
