Saturday afternoon around 4 pm a theft occurred at the Porter Walmart. When confronted by the Loss Prevention Officer, one suspect assaulted him then fled the scene taking the officers cap also. A description was put out by Precinct 4 Deputies and within minutes the suspected KIA was stopped on US 59 southbound feeder at Valley Ranch. The officers returned to the scene with the suspects. During the investigation deputies located a large quantity of Walmart bags, a barcode printer, a Walmart ID, a large quantity of stolen merchandise and a large number of receipts. Tyler Trimble, 35, of 16954 Creek Mountain Drive in Houston was arrested and charged with robbery since an assault happened during the theft. In addition, a male and female from Baytown were released with citations however additional charges could be pending.
