Just after 2 am a white male entered the property of a Splendora area communications tower near FM 2090 by cutting his way in. He then dismantled an electrical panel. A bold move was made when he cut the copper between the pole and the meter, then continued cutting copper. With alarms, sounding police were alerted. As they pulled in the male fled on foot through a wooded area. Needless to he left his copper, knapsack, and tools behind. He may have lost out of gaining some cash for scrap but the cost of repair will be in the thousands. Splendora Police are searching for the male pictured.
