Monday Caney Creek Fire fighters were told the Coke machines were coming out of their fire stations. They spoke with Jimmy Rogers who is with marketing development with the Coca-Cola Company. Mr. Rogers informed them the reason was due to slow sales and product going out of date.
Tuesday Mr. Rogers was able to convince the company to leave the machines in place. Late this afternoon Rogers contacted the department and stated the machines would remain in place and be serviced by Coca-Cola.
It appears that the almighty dollar was not as important to the company as doing a community service and continuing to service the machines for the firefighters who work 24/7 in Montgomery County protecting it’s citizens.
