THIRD GRADER BRAVES ICE STORM FOR FIRST DEER

Sunday 8-year-old Brayden Russell Schoonover braved 26 degree weather in Sonora, Texas for his first buck. The third grader waited in the frigid weather with his .410 patiently waiting for a deer. After waiting for what,  as described days a six point buck met his match as the young hunter took aim and claimed his first buck.

The drive home was the same, anxious to show his mother and friends his prize his father Russell ended up stopped on Interstate-10 for hours as DPS closed it between Sonora and Junction due to heavy ice on the roadway.
