THREE FOR THREE

For the third night in a row a vehicle involved in some way in the help of the citizens of Montgomery County has been involved in an accident.

Late Friday night a Conroe Police Officer while on routine patrol spotted what appeared to be an intoxicated driver southbound on the Interstate 45 feeder south of SH 105. When he attempted to stop the red SUV the driver continued on at approximately 40 miles per hour, the driver then turned west on Mill Street then down Humble Tank Farm Road.

As other units were heading his direction to assist the SUV turned into a private driveway at a mobile home on Humble Tank Farm Road. The officer then pulled in behind the driver who was identified as Marco Antonio Ihuit, 31, of 398 Humble Tank Farm. It was at that point the driver put his vehicle in reverse and backed into the patrol car. Since Conroe Police Department has push guards on the front of their vehicles there was no damage done.

As additional officers arrived on the scene Ihuit was put in custody. Two near empty alcohol containers were found in IIhuit vehicle.

Ihuit was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of evading arrest and driving while intoxicated.

Just after 2 am Sunday morning a Montgomery County Hospital District Supervisor was responding to a call. As he entered the intersection of FM 1485 and Interstate 69 in New Caney he was struck by  a vehicle.  The supervisor had been moving westbound and when he entered the intersection a Hyndai Sonata  traveling northbound on the feeder with no headlights struck the MCHD vehicle in the left drivers door spining it through the intersection.
The supervisor suffered minor injuries and did not require being transported to the hospital. The driver of the Sonata was transported to Kingwood Hospital wth very minor injuries. His frmale passenger who did not have a seat belt was taken to Kingwood in stable condition with a head injury, she did not have a seatbelt.

The driver of the Sonata has been identified as Juan c. Hoover, 32, of  Mustang Rd. in Cleveland. He was admitted to Kingwood Hospital in stable condition. He is facing a charge of intoxicated assault causing serious bodily injury.

Then Sunday night just before midnight a Milstead Wrecker had been assisting  a motorist change a tire on Interstate 45 near FM 1488, As he finished the driver entered the freeway northbound in the right lane. As the wrecker driver approached Crighton Road he was struck in the rear by a Ford pickup. That pickup then spun the wrecker sideways and pushed it like a bulldozer almost one-hundred yards. The driver of the wrecker was not injured but the driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital in stable condition. There were no skid marks from the Ford truck of which all 4 tires were showing little tread or steel belts. The dashboard ended stopped just before going under the bed of the wrecker. A passenger, if one had been in the truck would have most likely been injured severely as the seat was under the dashboard on the passenger side.

Conroe Police have not yet determined if the driver of the Ford had been drinking. The investigation is continuing.

During the time emergency crews were on the roadway several drove into the crash scene ignoring the emergency lights and traffic cones. In addition on vehicle hit a traffic cone and continued down the road with the cone under the vehicle. Very few vehicles were slowing for the emergency vehicles.
