CONROE – Three East Montgomery County residents were indicted by a grand jury last Thursday in connection with an East County drug bust.
Lori Abercrombie, 28 of Grangerland, 27-year-old Mark Myers of New Caney and Jordan Waggoner, 26, of Porter are charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver/manufacture.
The trio was arrested on August 29 with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Unit and patrol deputies were investigating clandestine methamphetamine labs in the Porter area. They received a tip that suspects involved in a theft at the local Wal-Mart were staying at the Super 8 Hotel located on Hwy 59 in Porter.
Investigating officers went to the hotel and reported finding a container with a flammable solvent used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine inside the suspects’ room.
The SIU and the Department of Public safety Methamphetamine Group recovered approximately 126 grams of powder that tested positive as methamphetamine.
Officers also confiscated a pistol and fake identification from the room.
Each of the suspects faced various charges when they were arrested, but the most serious charge was taken before the grand jury.
At the time of their arrests, Abercrombie and Myers had outstanding Precinct 4 warrants.
All three had prior criminal histories.
