Toddler, mom ejected in crash

Shortly after 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, Grangerland Fire Department responded to a one-vehicle accident with entrapment and possible ejection near FM 3083 and Jefferson Chemical Rd. east of Conroe.

Those first on scene found a child, approximately 18-months-old, was ejected from a flipped pickup.

They found the driver of the 2000 Ford F-150 trapped in the wreckage, still in his seat.

A female passenger had been ejected from the vehicle and was approximately 50 feet away in the woods.

The toddler was in critical condition and was transported the Texas Medical Center in Houston by air ambulance.

The pickup’s driver was taken by ground ambulance to the Medical Center and the woman was taken to a Conroe area hospital.

DPS closed the roadway in both directions for nearly two hours while they investigated the crash.

It appears the truck was southbound on FM 3083 when it left the roadway, for reasons still unknown. It continued down the shoulder and off of the pavement before coming back onto the road and flipping. DPS is still investigating the accident and attempting to identify the victims.
