1:30 a.m. UPDATE

The Grand Parkway / 99 is 110% CLOSED BOTH DIRECTIONS between FM 1314 and Riverwalk and is expected to remain CLOSED for SEVERAL HOURS as the crash is investigated and vehicles removed. Multiple vehicles crashed and one launched over the side of the overpass. MCPR is on the scene and will have more info for you later this morning.

PLEASE AVOID THE AREA – YOU CANNOT DRIVE THROUGH AND WILL HAVE TO PARK AND SLEEP OR TURN AROUND – SERIOUSLY.

Traffic Alert: GRAND PARKWAY CLOSED AT RIVERWALK BOTH DIRECTIONS – MAJOR ACCIDENT

12:45 a.m.

Grand Parkway / 99 at Riverwalk is CLOSED – Multi-vehicle crash – one vehicle reported over the side of the overpass – serious injuries reported – some still not evaluated – yet because of entrapment – more first responders have been requested.
