HUNTSVILLE – Beginning at 8 p.m. Friday, October 17, both northbound and southbound IH 45 main lanes in Huntsville will be closed and expected to reopen by 5 a.m. Monday, October 20.

• Northbound traffic will be diverted to the IH 45 frontage road at Exit 114 (FM 1374/Montgomery Road) and will be able to re-enter IH 45 North just north of Smither Drive.
• Southbound traffic will be diverted to the IH 45 frontage road at Exit 115 (FM 1374/Montgomery Road) and will be able to re-enter IH 45 South at the entrance across from Huntsville Toyota. These closures are needed to demolish the existing FM 1374 bridge crossing IH 45.

Message boards will be in place advising drivers about the closure and law enforcement officers will be in place to help with the flow of traffic.
