US 59 southbound main lanes – ALL SOUTHBOUND LANES ARE CLOSED BETWEEN SH 242 AND ROMAN FOREST BLVD AS OF 5 A.M. DUE TO A MAJOR ACCIDENT.
The closure is will continue for an undetermined length of time, which could be hours depending on clean-up of debris and a large amount of oil as well as the accident investigation. This will affect morning commuters headed toward Harris County on the east side of Montgomery County and counties north of Splendora on US 59.
Please alert others who take that route early to help prevent additional accidents.
