FM 1314 at Gulf Coast Road (connects FM 1314 to FM 3083 at Grangerland) near Hwy 242 – Wreck Use an alternate route to avoid delays. It’s difficult to get turned around there, and especially when work traffic stacks up.
4:10 p.m. (Still causing a major traffic issue)
FM 1485 eastbound at Gene Campbell Blvd. in the New Caney area – crash has traffic even worse than usual. The Walmart Distribution Center is off of Gene Campbell, so 18-wheelers use the intersection a lot and there’s a school on the roadway. If everyone knows there’s a wreck, they’ll go to FM 1314, but if they need to go toward Conroe, the wreck at Gulf Coast Road may be an issue. Check drivetexas.org for updates on traffic on all state maintained roads, which includes anything that’s an FM or Hwy.
