Patton Village Bell stopped a 2004 Chevrolet Impala on US 59 at Ipes for a speed violation. As he cited the two Hispanic males he requested consent to search the vehicle. After obtaining the consent he did find a small amount of residue in the console and noticed the door panels were not seating properly and the windows would not roll down. As he pulled back the door panel he was able to observe silver packages in those panels. The two males were taken into custody and the vehicle was taken to Patton Village Police Department for further search.
A total of 115 pounds of marijuana was found in those panels and both suspects were taken to the Montgomery County jail.
Heliodoro Acuna Guarjardo age 25 of Clute, Texas and his brother Homero Guajardo Acuna of Richwood, Texas both in Brazoria County have been charged with Possession of Marijuana between 50 and 2000 pounds and are also being held for immigration officials.
As this traffic stop was being initiated the What-a-Burger in Porter was robbed. The second Patton Village officer and Splendora unit who were assisting Bell spotted the robber’s vehicle and initiated a pursuit which led to Livingston.
Montgomery Police Department assisted Patton Village with its narcotics dog.
