Harris County, TX — On April 22, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a routine traffic stop in the 23200 block of Aldine Westfield Road, leading to the arrest of a wanted fugitive.
According to officials, the driver exited his vehicle and approached the Deputy, questioning whether he was being pulled over. The Deputy informed the driver he was stopped due to expired registration.
The driver, later identified as Eric Sparks, became belligerent and ignored all verbal commands. He also refused to provide identification. After further investigation, Deputies confirmed Sparks’ identity and discovered he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
“Eric Sparks was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants and charged with Failure to Identify to a Police Officer – Fugitive,” Constable Mark Herman said. Sparks’s bond was set at $100 by County Court 11.
Constable Herman’s Office continues to stress the importance of compliance during traffic stops and remains committed to apprehending individuals with outstanding warrants.
