MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX— A traffic stop Thursday evening led to a major narcotics seizure after Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies say they discovered 33 pounds of cocaine inside a vehicle along Interstate 45 South.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, the stop occurred around 5:40 p.m. on October 9, 2025, in the 17000 block of Interstate 45 South. During the investigation, deputies located a large quantity of illegal narcotics concealed within the vehicle.
The occupants were taken into custody and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance — Penalty Group 1 (over 400 grams), a first-degree felony.
The Sheriff’s Office credited the Montgomery County Precinct 3 Constable’s Office and K-9 Rambo for their assistance in the investigation, noting that the K-9 played a key role in locating the drugs.
“We appreciate the cooperation and teamwork between agencies in keeping dangerous narcotics off our streets,” Pct. 3 Constable Ryan Gable said.
Authorities said the investigation remains active and no additional details are being released at this time.
