TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO THE ARREST OF A WANTED FELON

On December 31st, 2021, a deputy with Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2900 block of North Freeway. The driver was identified as Jhalen Demming.
Further investigation revealed that he had multiple open felony warrants for Aggravated Robbery through the Austin Parole Board, Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon out of the Houston Police Department, and Theft of an ATM.
He was also found to be in possession of Marijuana and a firearm.
Jhalen Demming was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the Felony Warrants and charged with Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
“His bond was set at $1,000.000 for the UCW charge and No Bond for the Felon in Possession of a Firearm. His total bond for the open Felony Warrants in Harris County was set at $70,000.00 out of the 262nd District Court.” – Constable Mark Herman
