Traffic Stop Leads to Warrant Arrest

HARRIS COUNTY, TX– On Saturday, deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 17300 block of I-45 in Spring. The driver was identified as Janesha Stephens.
Further investigation revealed that she had an open Felony Warrant for Theft – Aggregate. Public Data shows Houston Police Department arrested Stephens February 27 for Theft (more than $2,500 but less than $30,000). Additionally, Stephens was charged with Assault Causes Bodily Injury in 2016, when she had just become old enough to be charged as an adult. (Any charges prior to her seventeenth birthday are sealed because she was a juvenile.)
A search with Vine and the Harris County Jail roster showed Stephens is no longer in custody for yesterday’s arrest by Precinct 4.
“Janesha Stephens was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrant. Her bond was set at $20,000 out of the 208th District Court,” Constable Mark Herman said.
