4:20 p.m. UPDATE #2

The 18-wheeler vs. SUV crash on the N. Grand Parkway eastbound, inside lane, is now only impacting eastbound traffic. HOWEVER, BOTH EASTBOUND LANES ARE CLOSED temporarily. Someone else collided with an 18-wheeler as they attempted to navigate traffic on The Grand Parkway at the crash site. As a result, The Grand Parkway eastbound in the area of Highlands Parkway and the San Jacinto River is a temporary parking lot. Take a detour. Even if you have to go to I-45 or Hwy 59, it almost certain to be a faster route right now.

3:55 p.m. UPDATE

The 18-wheeler vs. SUV crash on The N. Grand Parkway / 99 is on the inside eastbound lane between the San Jacinto River and Highlands Parkway (goes to Riverwalk). The crash has eastbound AND westbound inside lanes blocked, leaving only one main lane open eastbound and one westbound on The Grand Parkway in that area.
