Just before 10p.m. Friday night a call was placed to EMS advising them a 7 month old child was in cardiac arrest and a nurse was performing CPR. Medics and New Caney Fire Department arrived on the scene at the Garden Gate Apartments along with Precinct 4 Constables and Sheriff’s Deputies.
They found the 7 month old boy had apparently drowned.
He was transported to Kingwood Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department is still investigating.
Early information is that as a mother slept a three year old girl attempted to bathe the 7 month old child in the bathtub at which point he drown.
Judge James Mett’s has ordered an autopsy and the child will be sent to Dallas for the autopsy to be performed.
Thursday was the last day the Southeast Forensic Center was open. Until commissioners approve a new plan for autopsies they must be sent to Dallas.
