Montgomery County ICAC investigators have been actively working to combat online child exploitation. County District Attorney Brett Ligon emphasized his commitment to pursuing offenders worldwide to ensure justice. A prime example of their dedication was the recent case involving Jason Thomas Farner. Farner was brought back to Montgomery County after being located in Hinesville, Georgia. He faced five serious charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Child Pornography. The investigation was initiated when Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable Sgt. Jerry Seratt, working with ICAC Detectives, engaged in internet conversations with Farner. During these chats, Farner began transmitting videos that showed children between 8 and 12 years old engaging in sexual activities with adults. These videos were disturbing and integral to the case. Further investigation with the assistance of Montgomery County Precinct 2 Detective Pam Minchew revealed that Farner was a long-distance truck driver based in Hinesville. Warrants for his arrest were secured based on this evidence, leading to his arrest in Liberty County, Georgia, on August 10, 2025. Following his arrest, Farner was extradited to Montgomery County, where he is currently detained in the Montgomery County Jail. He is facing five charges of Possession with Intent to Deliver Child Pornography, with each bond set at $100,000. The charging and apprehension of Farner underscore the dedicated efforts of local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies working together to protect children and bring offenders to justice.
