At 3:10 a.m. this morning Cut N Shoot Fire Department was dispatched along with Caney Creek and North Montgomery County Fire Departments to the 11700 block of Mockingbird Hill for a residential Fire.
Within minutes they were on the scene of a double wide mobile home totally involved in fire. At 3:15 a.m. a second alarm was pulled bringing additional tankers from the departments all ready on the scene or enroute and Conroe Fire Department. Also dispatched was Needham Fire Department to back into Caney Creeks station and Lake Conroe Fire Department to back into Cut N Shoots station to cover the area in case of additional calls.
Along with fighting the fire an interior search was taking place for any victims. A vehicle determined to be the owners was parked at the home. But the residents were unaccounted for
Later firefighters were notified by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office that the owner of the home was indeed at work and his wife and children were with family members.
The home was a total loss. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office was notified and will start an investigation into the cause this morning.
